Thanks for the excellent post… after a couple hours of messing up I finally got it to work the way I want it EXCEPT one thing… my background color has disappeared… what did I do wrong?

I currently have it implemented with the fallseason theme, just to give it a test, but I am having issues with getting the blog link to highlight like the others do. I have added a link in list tags pointing to /blog/?p=1, is there any thing else I need to add? Email me please. Blog

Perhaps I should add that I am using WordPress MU 1.3, but I don’t think it’s related to MU, but then again I have no clue if it does…

Hi Michael,

I am having ok success implementing most of this, but I seem to be stuck on the /page/1 trick, as soon as I added home.php it ignores this and redirects to the new homepage (/), I am using permalinks / pretty-urls, but it simply ignores it with the code from your home.php.

When using ?page=1 it works as intended, so my question is could I make the home.php more resilient to properly detect /page/1?

Or have I missed something else? I believe I’ve read all your posts about this subject.

Please send me your home.php if you have updated the code related to this.

Thanks for this code. I’ve got it mostly implemented but when I click on the link for my blog from the static page it can’t find the http://mysite/page/1 and it reverts back to the static page. What’s going on? I’m using pretty permalinks but can’t figure out how to change my blog’s main page url to include page/1.

I am currently using WordPress 2.1.x series and my version of the template without any problems. Try it out, an if you run into problems, delete or rename the file, and let me know.
